Drop Boxes (Blackboard assignment submission)

The Digital Dropbox is a tool that instructor and students can use to exchange files. The dropbox works by uploading (attaching) a file from a disk or a computer to a depository. Files can be sent back and forth from the instructor’s Drop Box to the Drop Box of other users.

The Basics

To add a file:
  1. Go to Student Tools and choose Digital Dropbox
  2. Choose Add File
  3. Type in a Title, attach the file and add any comments
  4. Choose Submit
Note: Adding a file only holds the file in your digital dropbox. That file will not be sent. For files that are added to your dropbox, you will have the option to remove the file. You will not be given that option for files that are sent.

To send a file:

  1. Go to Student Tools and choose Digital Dropbox
  2. Choose Send File
  3. You may select a file that you have added to your Dropbox by choosing Select file and using the drop down box to find that file or you may upload a new file.
  4. If you are uploading a new file, type in a Title, attach the file and add any comments
  5. Choose Submit
